MAT

We are pleased to announce the San Diego State University’s Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Program has been selected as one of 27 DUI Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Integration/Outreach Pilot Programs. With funding from the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and administrative oversight from the California Association of DUI Treatment Programs (CADTP), the project may improve outcomes through early identification, intervention, and referral to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), which are critical to mitigating health risk, DUI recidivism and crash fatality risk.

Further, evidence-based data collection and reporting will foster data-driven service delivery and care coordination within the DUI system. The SDSU DUI Program appreciates the opportunity of expanding services for our DUI participants in need of MAT. Please note that MAT is a voluntary program and will not impact your DUI program or any legal proceedings.
