As they do each
year, Program Management elect an
Employee of the
Year. This
year's award goes to
Ann D.
for her constant and dedicated contribution to our program. Ann is the
keeper of our file room. With thousands of active and inactive files,
somehow Ann knows where each and everyone is or can tell you who has it.
Ann, on the left was presented with the Management Award by our Director,
Georgi DiStefano at our annual Summer Staff Appreciation Picnic held again
on San Diego's beautiful Mission Bay.

As in the past, Program Management
selects, from prior winners of the Employee of the Month, one individual for Employee
of the Year. The 2001-2002 Employee of the Year was
awarded to Willie Searcy, one of our Counselor/Instructors. The award
was presented at our Annual Summer Employee Appreciation Picnic, held this
September at Mission Bay Park in San Diego. Program Director, Ms.
Georgi DiStefano presented the award to Mr. Searcy. Willie was chosen
as the outstanding employee due to his numerous accomplishments and
dedication to the program. Willie not only has served the program but
has provided a proven desire to help the program's participants.

Manager of the
Year

As in past
years, the management staff elects one of there own as
Manager Of The Year. This year,
Margaret Hutter was selected by her peers. Margaret is one of our long
term employees of the Program. Second employee hired in 1991, Margaret
has, over the years, made countless contributions to the operations and
management of the Program, and has been instrumental in establishing many of
this Program's policies and procedures. Margaret was recognized for
her achievements at our Annual Management Recognition Ceremonies in December
2003. Presenting Margaret with her award is Georgi DiStefano the

At the Program's
Annual Management Recognition Ceremonies in December 2002, Oscar Almendarez
was presented with the Manager Of The Year
award. Oscar, who was promoted to Counseling Administrator was singled
out for his counseling and organizational skills. The Manager of the
Year award was presented by Georgi DiStefano, Executive and Clinical

At the Program's
annual Manager's Recognition Ceremonies, Kenneth Mummery was named as Manager
Of The Year by his fellow Program Managers and the
Executive Director. Exec. Director Ms. Georgi DiStefano told the audience;
"Ken was given this award for his outstanding contribution to the
Program. Not only as our Data Manager but for those things he does
that are far removed from his job description".

Employee Of The Year For 2000 - 2001

Each year, Program Management
selects, from prior winners of the Employee of the Month, one individual for Employee
of the Year. The 2000-2001 Employee of the Year was
awarded to Maria P., our Administrative Staff's A.M. Lead. The award
was presented at our Annual Summer Employee Picnic, held this year in
September 2001at Mission Bay Park in San Diego. Presenting the award
was Executive Director Georgi DiStefano. As you can see, Maria
received a bouquet of flowers and a framed certificate. She was also
awarded with a day off as well as a monetary award for her outstanding contributions
to the Program over the past year.
